For this question it would be simplest to find the slope and then plug it into the point slope form

m = $\frac{- 5 - 4}{- 3 - (- 1)}$ $(-5 - 4) / (-3 -( -1)$
m = $- \frac{9}{- 2}$ $-9/ -2$
m = $\frac{9}{2}$ $9/2$

Point slope form formula:

y - y1 = m(x - x1)
Say we pick the point (-1,4)

y - 4 = $\frac{9}{2}$ $9/2$ (x - (-1))
