Divide by 2...

x = -4x=4

There is no finite answer. The slope is oo because Deltay goes from -oo to oo, even when Deltax = 0. That means Deltay = oo.

(Deltay)/(Deltax) = oo/0 = oo * 1/0 = oo * oo = oo

Imagine a line of slope 1 (y =x). Now imagine the slope increasing towards oo. That would mean the line rotates counterclockwise until it becomes perfectly vertical. That is the line x = a. Here, a = -4.
