m = 2/7

Explanation:

Slope is defined as "the change in y"/"the change in x"

The formula to find this is: m = (y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 -x_1)

m = (1- (-1))/(5- (-2)) = 2/7

If we had subtracted the other way round we would have ended up with
m =(-2)/(-7)" but this also simplifies to " 2/7
