We use the following

$n (A \cup B) = n (A) + n (B) - n (A \cap B)$ $n(AuuB)=n(A)+n(B)-n(AnnB)$

Therefore,

$13 = 7 + 9 - n (A \cap B)$ $13=7+9-n(AnnB)$
