Starting point $\to f (x) = x^{2}$ $->f(x)=x^2$

Let $g (x)$ $g(x)$ be the 'modified' function

9 units down $\to g (x) = x^{2} - 9$ $->g(x)=x^2-9$

4 units left $\to g (x) = {(x + 4)}^{2} - 9$ $->g(x)=(x+4)^2-9$
