Which layer is thicker, the dermis or the epidermis?

Dermis(second layer of the skin next to epidermis) is thicker than epidermis.
Explanation:
Because it contains blood vessels, sebaceous glands(secrete oil), sweat glands, hair follicles, nerve endings, smooth muscles(arrector pili muscle) and also other some other layers i.e papillary layer and reticular layer.
