A quadrilateral is defined as a polygon (a closed shape) with 4 sides, so any shape/object with four sides can be considered a quadrilateral.

Explanation:

There are infinite quadrilaterals in real life! Anything with 4 sides, even if the sides are uneven, is a quadrilateral. Examples could be: table top, book, picture frame, door, baseball diamond, etc.

There are a number of different types of quadrilaterals, some of which are harder to find in real life, such as a trapezoid. But, look around you – at buildings, at patterns on fabric, at jewelry – and you can find them!
