Divide the numerator by the denominator

Explanation:

a/bab is a÷b= xa÷b=x
when aa= 1 , bb = 4, then xx = 1÷4

1÷4 = 0.25

0.25 is 1/414 in decimal notation and to convert x into a percent just multiply xx by 100

so a/bab is xx in decimal notation and x(100)x(100) = x%x%

1/414(100)=25%(100)=25%
