What is a "histamine"?

Histamine is an Organic Nitrogenous compound made of Carbon, Hydrogen and Nitrogen. It is involved in local immune responses as well as regulating physiological function in the gut and acting as a neurotransmitter, most of the time it is released when we come in contact with an allergen that could be pollen or an animal and it goes to the site in the body where its needed.
