The sine rule is used to find the area of the triangle

$area = \frac{1}{2} (a) (b) sin C$ $"area" = 1/2(a)(b)sinC$

Angle $C$ $C$ has to be expressed in degrees, by multiplying $\frac{7 π}{8}$ $(7pi)/8$ by $\frac{180^{\circ}}{π}$ $180^@/pi$

In this case, you have

$area = \frac{1}{2} (12) (3) ({sin 157.5}^{\circ})$ $"area" = 1/2(12)(3)(sin157.5^@)$
