Explanation:

You first determine the value of Q_1 and Q_3.

Once you have found these values you subtract:

Q_3-Q_1

This is called the interquartile range.

Now you multiply your result by 1.5

(Q_3-Q_1) xx 1.5= R

R="your result"

Then you add your result (R) to Q_3

R+Q_3

And subtract Q_1 - R

You will have two numbers this will be a range. Any number located outside this range is consider an outlier.
