The molar absorptivity of molecule X is given by epsilon=4.5xx10^3M^(-1)cm^(-1)ε=4.5×103M1cm1

The Beer - Lambert Law states:

A=epsilonlcA=εlc

AA = absorbance

ll = path length in cm

cc = molar concentration

epsilonε = molar absorptivity

Rearranging gives:

epsilon=(A)/(lc)ε=Alc

epsilon=(0.350)/(0.850xx90xx10^(-6)) = 4.5xx10^(-3) M^-1cm^-1ε=0.3500.850×90×106=4.5×103M1cm1

Note I converted muMμM to MM by multiplying by 10^-6106
