There are many contributors to the cell theory

Explanation:

Anton von Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723) was a Dutch scientist whose observations through a microscope contributed greatly to the cell theory. Robert Hooke further developed the microscope and also studied plant cells. Rudolf Virchow, Theodor Schwann, and Matthias Schleiden also helped contribute.

Cells are building block(s) in all creatures- every living thing has at least one cell. The theory revolves around the fact that the cell is the basic structure.

In the mid 1800's, Schleiden and Schwann, along with Rudolf Virchow, formulated the three big ideas of the Cell Theory:

  • #"All living things are made of cells."#
  • #"The cell is the basic component of all living things."#
  • #"All cells come from pre-existing cells."#

Explanation:

The Cell Theory is a central concept in Biology.

Here are its three core principles:

  • #"All living things are made of cells (and the products of cells.)"#

  • #"The cell is the basic structural and functional unit of all living things."#

  • #"All cells come from pre-existing cells."#
