Yes and no

If you mean $y=x^2+10x + 24$ then yes it can be factored

$y=x^2+4x+6x+24$

$y=x(x+4)+6(x+4)$

$y=(x+4)(x+6)$

But if you actually meant $y=x^2+34$ then no it cannot be factored

Can y=x^2+10+24 y=x^2+10+24 be factored? If so what are the factors ?
