There are 26 red cards, and 26 black cards. the ratio is

$26/52 = 1/2$

I tried this:

I would take the number of possible outcomes: $52$
the number of favourable outcomes: Hearts+Diamonds $=13+13=26$

so the probability will be:

$p("red")=26/52=0.5$ or $50%$ as we could guess immediatelly.
