2a + b - 3b = 2a - 2b2a+b3b=2a2b

In 2a + b - 3b2a+b3b, find similar variables in the expression. In 2a + b - 3b2a+b3b, bb and -3b3b have the same variable of 'b' while 2a does not share the same variable of 'a' with any other values.

We now can subtract the values with the same variable.

b-3b = -2b

Hence the simplified answer would be 2a-2b.
