You csn use a rule of logs and get:
logx(x-3)=1
If your logs are in base 10 you can write:
x(x-3)=10^1
x^2-3x=10
x^2-3x-10=0
Using the Quadratic Formula:
x_(1,2)=(3+-sqrt(9+40))/2=(3+-7)/2
So:
x_1=5
x_2=-2 No
