Using the slope-intercept form, `y=mx+c`, we can just substitute in the value of the slope, `m=1/2`, and the `x` and `y` values of the given point, and find the value of `c`, the y-intercept:

`y=mx+c` can be rearranged to make `c` the subject: `c=y-mx=3-(1/2)4=3-2=1`

The equation of the line, then, is `y=1/2x+1`
