Use the equation of the point-slope form.

The equation of point-slope is

#y-y_1 = m(x-x_1)# where m is the slope and #(x_1, y_1)# is a point.

First find the slope using the two points #(0,-5)# and #(-2,4)#.

#m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)#

#m=(4- -5)/(-2-0) = 9/-2=-9/2#

Choose either of the points (it doesn't matter which one) and plug it into the point-slope equation, along with the value of m.

I am choosing the first point #(0, -5)# as #(x_1,y_1)#

#y--5=-9/2(x-0)#
#y+5=-9/2(x-0)#
