Explode the middle term into two pieces ...

$y=2x^2+10x-3x-15$

[Note that the middle terms $10xx-3=2xx-15$ ]

Now use grouping ...

$y=(2x^2+10x)-(3x+15)$

$y=2x(x+5)-3(x+5)$

Simplify ...

$y=(2x-3)(x+5)$
