The factors of 6 are:
1 and 6
2 and 3
3 and 2
6 and 1
1 and -6
2 and -3
and so on...

Now, which one adds up to the "5x"? Or which one adds up to 5?

The only one that does is:
2 and 3.

So you put everything together:
(x + 2) ( x + 3)

Double-check

(x+2)(x+3)

x2+2x+3x+6

x2+5x+6
