Sidereal day is the time required for Earth to rotate 360 degree on its axis. It is 23 hours 56 minutes and 4 seconds.
Explanation:
As earth moves around Sun for solar day earth have moved 1 degree around Sun in 24 hours.So we have to add 4 minutes to get this additional movement..THat is 24 hours.
