So the axial skeleton is basically the axis that the rest of your body rotates on, so this includes like the skull, spine, ribs and sternum.
The appendicular skeleton consists of appendages, including pelvic girdle (all the pelvic and leg bones) and your shoulder girdle (arm bones etc) and your 2 clavicles (collarbones) and scapulas (shoulder blades).
