Dillution of a certain substance in a certain solvent depends on temperature. Specifically, dillution is increased when temperature increases. Since the solution was saturated, it couldn't dissolve more sugar. Once the temperature drops, the water has a new saturation point (lower grams of sugar) and now discharges the sugar from its mass.
