Conjugated ketone has a C=C unit attached directly to carbon of the carbonyl group. While in Non conjugated ketons the carbonyl group don't contact with any C=C unit

Explanation:

CH2=CHC(O)CH3 is a simple conjugate ketone (the C atom connected to the C atom of the carbonyl group forms a double bond to another C atom.whileCH2=CHCH2C(O)CH3would be non-conjugate because the C atoms forming the double bond don't contact the carbonyl group directly.
