Average of $\frac{1}{20}$ $1/20$ and $\frac{1}{30}$ $1/30$ is $\frac{1}{24}$ $1/24$ .

Average of two numbers is half of their sum.

As the two numbers are $\frac{1}{20}$ $1/20$ and $\frac{1}{30}$ $1/30$ , their sum is

$\frac{1}{20} + \frac{1}{30}$ $1/20+1/30$

= $\frac{1 \times 3}{20 \times 3} + \frac{1 \times 2}{30 \times 2}$ $(1×3)/(20×3)+(1×2)/(30×2)$
