Use the Polar coordinate form of the distance formula which is :

$d^2 = r_1^2 + r_2^2 - (2 xxr_1 xx r_2 xx cos (theta_2 - theta_1 ))$

In this question let $(r_1 , theta_1 ) = (6 , (5pi)/8 )$ and

$( r_2 , theta_ 2) = (3 , (4pi)/3 )$

just substitute the values into formula.
