There's no official definition, but infrared light is generally considered to range from about 700 nm to 1 mm in wavelength, or from about 4.3x1015s−1 to 3.0x1011s−1 in frequency.

Infrared light covers the electromagnetic spectrum between visible light and microwave radiation.
