How do you graph #y=sqrtx +6# and how is it different from the parent function?

For graphing, you use different values of #x# (preferably squares).

Explanation:

Say you take #x=0,1,4,9,...# your answers will be
#y=0+6=6,1+6=7,2+6=8,3+6=9#, etc.

Since the parent function is #sqrtx#, this function is translated #6# up, or a translation of #(0,6)#
