The absolute value symbol means that either 8n+4 <-4, Or, 8n+4>4. On solving these two inequalities it is either 8n<-8 or 8n>0. Thus either n<-1 or n>0. This means the inequality has no solution, because x cannot be greater than 0, that means positive, and less than -1 at the same time.
