$\frac{y}{x} = 8$ $y/x=8$ is a direct variation equation where $8$ $8$ is the constant.

In a direct variation $y \propto x$ $ypropx$ i.e. $y = k x$ $y=kx$ , where $k$ $k$ is a constant.

Hence, $k = \frac{y}{x}$ $k=y/x$ and as here $\frac{y}{x} = 8$ $y/x=8$ ,

and as such $\frac{y}{x} = 8$ $y/x=8$ is a direct variation equation where $k = 8$ $k=8$ is the constant.

Is yx=8y/x = 8 a direct variation equation and if so what is the constant?
