`color(blue)(x)=c/color(blue)(y`

Here, `color(blue)(x and y` are variables and `c` is the constant.

Let us assume the constant `c` to be 10 and assign values to `color (blue)(y` and observe the trend in values of `color(blue)(x`

• `c = 10` , let `color(blue)(y = 2`
  Then `x = c/y = 10/2, color(blue)(x = 5`

• `c = 10` , let `color(blue)(y=5`
  Then `x = c/y = 10/5 , color(blue)( x = 2`

As we can observe , when the value of `y` increases the value of `x` decreases. Hence the variation here is inverse variation .
