Rewrite the equation to y=mx+b

This is relatively easy, just subtract x on both sides

x+y=2y=x2y=(1)x2
Now the slope is obiously 1 and the y-intercept is 2

You can start by rearranging your equation as:
y=ax+b
where:
a is the slope
b is the intercept.

in your case:

y=x2
Where:
slope=1
intercept=2 on the y axis.

Your slope tells you that every time x increases of 1 unit y decreases of 1 unit .
